Funeral services for Travis Page, age 33, of Houston and formerly of Centerville, will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Gary Stutz, pastor of Chapel of the Hills Assembly of God Church in Centerville, will officiate the service. Interment with funeral honors provided by the U.S. Army will follow in the Leona Cemetery in Leona, Texas. A brief visitation will take place Sunday, August 5th from 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.

Travis Waylon Page was born December 17, 1984 in Buffalo, Texas to Elbert Page and Darlene Taylor. At the tender age of ten years, Travis gave his heart to the Lord. He attended Centerville I.S.D. and was active in the C.H.S. band where he excelled at playing the saxophone. Following high school graduation, and with his parents’ encouragement to find a job, Travis, instead, enlisted in the military. He served his country in the U.S. Army for a little over three years and was honorably discharged as an E-4 Specialist. Travis settled in the Houston area where he worked as an x-ray technician and was currently employed as a courier for R.B.P. Services.

Travis’ most endearing quality was his zest for life. He loved to talk and entertain people and had aspirations to become an actor. Travis was definitely his best when he was the center of attention with all eyes focused on him. He held a love for travel and was a self-proclaimed “foodie.” When not at work, Travis was not one to sit at home all day. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, watching movies and anything having to do with guns. He and his brother spent many hours taking in movies at the theater, playing an occasional game of golf or shooting their latest favorite gun. Travis’ love for music continued past high school where he played guitar and bass for Citymark Church, of which he was a member. The most important person in Travis’ live was his daughter, Cheyenne. His world revolved around her, and he loved her with all of his heart.

Travis left this world to enter his heavenly home on July 27, 2018 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Virgil Taylor.

Surviving family members include mother, Darlene Taylor Brown (Phillip) of Leona; father, Elbert Page (Cindy) of Leona; daughter, Cheyenne Page of Pearland; girlfriend, Becca Watson and her son, Tyden; brother, Cody Page (Blessie) of Houston; sisters, Sky Almaguer (Orlando) of Leona and Emily Page of Leona and grandparents, Vernon Page, Sue Standley, Tom & Mary Holmes, Betty Taylor and Nancy Holland Taylor. Travis is also survived by niece, Selena Almaguer & Baby Almaguer; nephews, Jassie Page & Caden Page, as well as, many extended family and friends.

Pallbearers: Ethan Taylor, Nolan Johnson, Justin Johnson, Ricky Burleson, Robert Brown, Reece Holderrieth
