Daniel Ray Reider

Daniel Ray Reider, 41, made his glorious entrance into the world on January 7, 1985, in Lufkin, Texas, much to the joy of parents, Richard and Martha (Heflin) Reider, and made an even more glorious entrance into eternity on August 27, 2026. He attended Anderson Elementary school till the sixth grade before he was transferred to Madisonville where he made many wonderful friendships and graduated with the class of 2004. 

Daniel will be remembered as a very fun, loving young man. He thoroughly enjoyed cooking, baking, experimenting in different things and crafts. He greatly enjoyed all his time with his Project Sunshine SHSU buddies and was proud to live in Bedias, Texas where the family took good care of one another.

Daniel was gifted with a wonderful, outgoing personality and the desire to be generous and kind to everyone. He was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he always served with gladness as he started the Sunday service each week by giving the announcements and prayer requests. Daniel loved his church family dearly, and family was what they truly were. He also loved his Bedias community and got involved with the Bedias Community Garden, the Bedias library, the Farmers Market, and the Lighthouse Family Ministry events. Daniel was also one-half owner operator of Bro-Cones with his brother Mark.

Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Richard Reider; grandparents, Floyd, Abner (Beverly Jean Hefflin); cousins, Melody, Dawn and Walter Heflin Jr.; aunts, Maxine Heflin and Judy and Birdie Reider.

Those left to cherish Daniel's memory are his mother, Martha Reider; brothers, Roy Abner Disman (Suzanne), Michael Disman (Christina) and Mark Reider; uncle, Walter Heflin (Dottie); aunts, Myrna Harrington and Malia Heflin; paternal uncles; Joe, Eddie and James Reider; paternal aunt, Bell Leggette; a host of nieces and nephews, Jason, Tristan, Gaby, Moriah, Randy, Kaylee, Rylee, Caleb, Marlena, Samuel and Mark as well as numerous other extended family, church family and loving friends. 

A funeral service to remember Daniel, officiated by Bro. Joe Gray will be held in the chapel of the Madisonville Funeral Home on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10 A.M. followed by burial in the Pankey Cemetery. A time of visitation will take place the evening before on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the funeral home from 5 P.M. till 7 P.M.
