Andrew Gladish Yancy Traynham

Andrew “Drew” Gladish Yancy Traynham Puryear, 31, was born in Houston, Texas on April 1, 1995, and passed away on August 25, 2026. Drew graduated with his Class of 2014 from Galena Park High School.

Above all, Drew was a proud father to his son, Nathan "Nate" and loved spending time with him playing with cars, video games, and going to the park.

Drew gave the best hugs and loved his family deeply. He especially enjoyed reading, playing his guitar, and riding his motorcycle. Drew was always up for a trip to the beach, loved all flavors of cheesecake, and never turned down a Dr Pepper, pasta or caesar salad.

He is survived by his mother, Brandi Puryear; father, Aves Puryear; partner, Ashley Shamblin; son, Nathan "Nate"; Ashley's children, Johnathan, Reilly, and Lilly, whom Drew loved as his own; brothers, Sayer Kai and Connor Puryear; grandmother, Susie Love; half-sister, Stefani Early, and numerous other extended family and loving friends.

Drew's absence will be felt by his family every day. He will be missed beyond words.

A funeral service for Drew, officiated by Dr. Angela Pool-Funai, will be held in the chapel of the Madisonville Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 2 P.M. Visitation will take place one hour before the service beginning at 1 P.M.
