Keith Alan Gantt was born on August 24, 1952 in Mexia, Texas and passed away on December 20, 2017 at his home near Jewett, Texas with his wife, Cheryl, by his side. He was sixty-five years old.

Graveside services have been scheduled for 2 P.M., Saturday, December 23, 2017, at New Hope Cemetery located outside of Jewett, Texas in rural Limestone County. A public visitation will take place on Friday, December 22nd from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.

Keith was one of three children born to Archie Elmer and Marceline (Wilson) Gantt. He was a 1971 graduate of Groesbeck High School and retired as a heavy equipment operator. Following his retirement one could sometimes find Keith helping his wife and family out at BoBo’s Nursery, delivering flowers and working on the grounds. Keith was happiest on his family ranch with his wife and animals (cows and donkeys). He was a member of the Jewett Volunteer Fire Department and the East Lake Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.

Keith was preceded in death by his father and twin brother, Kyle Edward Gantt, who passed away at three days of age. Surviving family members include wife of fourteen years, Cheryl (Melasky) Gantt of Jewett; mother, Marceline of Lake Jackson; brother, Gary & wife, Linda of West Columbia; daughters, Jennifer of Jewett and Coleen & husband, Scott of Dawson and son, Brian of Caldwell. Keith is also survived by grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Cash, Kasey, Kyle, Hannah and Micah; nieces, Jana, Kristie, Vanessa, Carrie, Amy, Elizabeth, Kris & Lillie; nephews, Stephen, Jeremy, Juan & Jordan; mother-in-law, Anna Williams; sister-in-law, Ginger Vybril and brother-in-law, Joey Melasky, as well as numerous cousins and countless friends.

Keith was a country boy and lived in his blue jeans. The Gantt family invites everyone to dress comfortably for the service. This is the way Keith would have wanted it.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.
