Obituary

Billie Jean Risinger, 95, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on April 10, 2024. She was born on November 13, 1928 in Normangee, Texas to Olan Marvin Johnson and Blanche Irene (Shoemaker) Johnson. Billie was known to be energetic "like an insect," and she always kept herself busy. She was very strong-willed, even after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Billie was an immaculate housekeeper, and she kept her house spotless. She had a knack for raising flowers. Her favorite flowers were spring flowers. Billie and her late husband, "D," were faithful members of First Baptist Church in Madisonville, Texas.

Billie was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, D. W. Risinger; sisters, Gwenola Mullican and Wanda Elaine Hausler; and special friend, George Hartsfield. She is survived by her son, Marshall R. Risinger (Barbara); grandsons, Shannon Ray Risinger and Benjamin Philip Risinger; and great-grandchild, Ava Marie Risinger.

A graveside service for Billie will be held at 11 A.M., Monday, April 15, 2024 in Oxford Cemetery, Cottonwood, Texas. Billie's son, Marshall, will officiate the service. A time of visitation and fellowship will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
