It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Faye McVey, who left us peacefully on July 18, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on March 14, 1952, in Edinburg, Texas, Susan was a devoted wife to her beloved spouse, Roland McVey, and a cherished friend to many.
Susan's life was a testament to love and kindness. Her caring nature was evident in everything she did; she dedicated herself to taking care of those around her. As a talented florist, Susan brought beauty into the world through her floral designs. For many years, she crafted stunning arrangements, including heartfelt crosses placed within caskets, offering solace and joy to families during their most difficult times.
A woman of remarkable creativity and compassion, Susan found joy in creating and sharing her artistic talents with others. Her warmth and spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Dalon McVey. She is survived by her husband, Roland McVey; son, Clay McVey (Danielle); daughter, Sabrina Angelo; grandchildren, Gabby Carrillo (Malenie), Ryan McVey, and Cheyenne McVey; great-grandchildren, Sophia Gonzalez and Jaxon McVey; brothers, Jerry White and Richard "Buck" White; sisters, Robin Peavy and Billie Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A graveside service for Susan will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, July 24, 2026, in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas. Joel Douget will officiate the service. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will take place Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
