Stephen Boyd, age 72, of Madisonville, Texas, passed away in his home December 15, 2019. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.

Stephen Farris Boyd was born July 17, 1947 in Madisonville, Texas to John Franklin & Mary Louis (Farris) Boyd. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Stephen retired from T.D.C.J. as a truck driver. He enjoyed working on computers and could build one from scratch. He also assisted others with computer and software repair. Stephen had lived in Madisonville most of his life. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Randall Louis Boyd and both of his parents.

Surviving family members include wife, Joyce Boyd of Madisonville; step-sons, Richard Ahre of Bryan and Aaron Summerfield of Bastrop; daughter, Stephanie Weeks and step-daughters, Deane Ahre of Austin, Crystal Summerfield of Madisonville and Ballina Collard of Madisonville. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Justin Tucker and Shyanne McDaniel.

Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas is in charge of final arrangements.
