With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Samuel Alexander Dagher, beloved father, brother, uncle, cherished friend, and devoted farmer, who departed this life on July 4, 2026. Born October 26, 1943, in Harper, Liberia, Samuel embraced the world with a cheerful, caring, curious spirit and a warmth that touched everyone he met.

Samuel dedicated his life to his family and to the land. From a young age, he discovered his talent, skill, and love for farming while helping his mother on their family farm. He later carried that passion forward on his own farm in Midway, Texas, where he became an expert in gardening and livestock. His deep understanding of animals allowed him to sense and address their needs quickly, a reflection of his devotion to both his work and the creatures in his care. A gifted gardener, he found joy in nurturing the earth and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends.

Known for his steadfastness, boldness, confidence, and unwavering opinions, Samuel was also a man of genuine kindness, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His sense of humor and lively spirit brightened the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. A devoted Christian, Samuel had a deep love and understanding of sports, history, and politics, and often engaged in thoughtful discussions that revealed his many passions.

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents and several cherished siblings. He leaves behind a loving family, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith. His memory will be treasured always, and his legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to God and family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A homegoing service for Samuel Dagher will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Pastor Toni Green will officiate the service. Interment will follow in West End Cemetery, 1111 Martin Luther King Blvd., Madisonville, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M., prior to the service. A repast will be held at the Texas Legends Steakhouse in Madisonville, Texas, following the interment.
