It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Samir Davis Brimzy, who departed this life on May 13, 2026, at the tender age of 1 year and 5 months. Born on December 19, 2024, in Houston, Texas, to parents, Sammy and Brittney (Davis) Brimzy. Samir was a beautiful soul whose spirit touched everyone around him.

Samir fought valiantly throughout his brief time with us, showing remarkable strength and resilience. His heart remained strong until the very end. Though his journey was short, it was filled with love, warmth, and the unwavering support of his parents, Sammy and Brittney Brimzy. They want his memory to live on as a testament to the joy he brought into their lives.

Samir is now at peace, embraced by the love of his sister and gran-gran in heaven, where he is forever rocked and cherished. His family finds solace in knowing that he is surrounded by love in the eternal embrace of those who have gone before him.

Samir was preceded in death by his sister, Shai'Tajah Lotts; maternal great-grandparents, Cora Lee and Bobby Whaley, Sr.; and paternal great-grandmother, Alice Mae Gooden. He is survived by his parents, Sammy and Brittney (Davis) Brimzy; siblings, Shai'La Mosley, Dekimbe Mosley, Jr., Ace Brimzy, and twin sister, Samiriah Brimzy; maternal grandmother, Mary Whaley; and special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A homegoing service for Samir will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Dr. Charleton T. Greene will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until time of the service.
