Memorial services for Robert Adams, age 83 of Madisonville, will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 1 P.M. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Robert Dale Adams was born on July 12, 1934 in Mankato, Minnesota to Carrol & Evelyn (Larson) Adams. He grew up in Minnesota and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Robert worked as a pilot for Texas International Airlines which later became Continental Airlines. He served as President of the Pilot's Union while working for Continental and was a member of the Air Line Pilot Organization (ALPO). Robert was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Association and a Master Mason and past Grand Master of the Bedias Masonic Lodge AF & AM. He enjoyed fishing and trail riding in his spare time.

Robert passed away in Huntsville, Texas on December 24, 2017. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Stanley & Kenneth Adams and sister, Hope Adams. He is survived by wife, Carla Adams of Madisonville; sons, Terry Adams of White Bear Lake, MN, Scott Adams (Kate) of Rice, MN; daughter, Sandra Bendix (Delroy) of Porter; step-sons, Robert Eastham of St. Louis Park, MN and John Eastham of Hugo, MN; step-daughter, Tonya Puckett of Meridian; brothers, Charles Adams (Fay) of Houston and J.D. Adams (Jo Ann) of Jacksonville, FL and sister, Carol Ann Fenske of Paynesville, MN. Robert is also survived by eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
