Robby Ware Lyle (83) of Hilltop Lakes, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 23, 2023, surrounded by family at Texas Loving Care Senior Living Center in Madisonville, Texas following a lengthy illness. A memorial service for Robby will be held at Hilltop Lakes Chapel on Saturday, October 7 at 10:30 AM. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, at 10:30 A.M. at the Ralls Cemetery in Ralls, Texas.

Robby was born on May 11, 1940 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to B. L. Barnes and Hattie Margaret (Kelsey) Barnes.

Robby grew up in Midland, Texas with mother, Margaret and stepfather, Clem L. Ware. Robby graduated from Midland High School in 1959. She served as Junior Class Treasurer and was voted Class Favorite. As a senior, she was Class Secretary, was voted Best All-Around High School Girl, and participated in the Queen's Court. After high school graduation, she trained in Kansas City to be an airline reservationist which led to her employment with Central Airlines at Amen Carter Field in Ft. Worth, Texas. There she met her future husband, Bill Lyle. They married in Ft. Worth on May 26, 1962. Robby worked at numerous jobs while Bill attended college and before having children. These included book keeping for an automobile dealership, bank employee, and church secretary. Both of her children, Madison and Christy, were born in Bryan, Texas. In 1971, Bill and Robby built a house on the Lyle family farm north of Ralls, Texas. They raised their children there, and this is where Robby adapted to farm life, including cotton harvesting and working cattle. She never totally got the hang of working cattle but left many fond and humorous memories as she tried. Robby re-entered the workforce again after her children became high school students. She held positions as Chamber of Commerce manager and also Federal Housing project manager. After both retired, she and Bill moved to Hilltop Lakes, Texas in 2004. They soon began co-hosting a Gospel Gathering in their house where she busied herself with preparations in the kitchen for each meeting. Robby had many friends that she readily made in every place they lived.

Robby enjoyed many other interests and hobbies which she shared with family and friends. These included painting, stain glass, sewing, crocheting, traveling in their RV, backpacking, riding motorcycles, mountain biking, square dancing, and gardening. She was also a good athlete, playing tennis and golf, and had a hole-in-one to her credit. She also tolerated fishing, flying, and snow skiing to appease Bill. Throughout all of Robby's endeavors, her primary devotion in life was to her husband, Bill, and to their two children, Madison and Christy, and their families. Her greatest joy in life was attending to their needs.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; her stepfather; and her sister, Barbara Weed. She is survived by her husband, Bill Lyle of Hilltop Lakes, Texas; her son, Madison Lyle and wife, Erica of Rockwall, Texas; her daughter, Christy Benoit and husband, Brent of Baytown, Texas; and her twin brother, Bobby Ware and wife, Reva of Tomball, Texas. She is sorely missed by her grandchildren, Joshua Dower and wife, Bronwyn of Midland, Texas, Kelsey George and husband, Rohit of San Antonio, Texas, Katie Cory and husband, Austin of Rockwall, Texas, Chloe Hughes and husband, Timothy of Dallas, Texas, Bryn Benoit of Nashville, Tennessee, and Brooke Benoit of Austin, Texas. She also leaves behind three great-grandsons, Coulter, Daniel, and Theo.
