Phillip Paul Shupe Jr., 47, was born on March 4, 1979, in Jellico, Tennessee to proud parents Phillip Shupe Sr. and Bonnie (Helton) Shupe, and passed away at his home in Midway, Texas on July 19, 2026.
Much like his father, Phillip enjoyed spending his time outdoors. Any outdoor activity suited him, whether it was fishing, camping, four-wheeling or anything else. He met the challenges of life head-on and will be fondly remembered by those who were blessed to know him.
Phillip is preceded in death by both his parents, Phillip and Bonnie Shupe; grandparents, Dee and Sallie Shupe and Joe and Edna Helton; sister, Amy Lynn and nephew, Jace Paul.
Those left to cherish Phillip’s memory are his wife, Rena Jimenez-Shupe of Midway, Texas; daughter Rebecca Overbay of London, Kentucky; sons, Austin Overbay of Stanford, Kentucky and Hunter Shupe of Corbin, Kentucky; sisters, Donnetta Shupe of Rockholds, Kentucky and Amy Watson (Jon) of Richmond, Kentucky; brothers, Carly Mincey (Jack) of Louisville, Kentucky, Jack Mincey (Taylor) of Corbin, Kentucky and Kevin Shupe (Loretta) of Georgia, together with a host of extended family including aunts, uncles, nephews, a great-niece and two great-nephews.
There are no services scheduled for Phillip at this time.
Final arrangements for Phillip Paul Shupe Jr. are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
