Obituary for Richard Reily

Richard “Rick” Reily was born June 7, 1954 in Houston, Texas to Lloyd and Vera Reily. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston. He served as a Houston Firefighter for more than 30 years. He retired in 2005 from Station #93. He and his family moved to Oklahoma and later, to Oakwood, Texas. Rick passed away at his home on December 8, 2017 at the age of sixty-three.

Rick’s family described him as a man with a great sense of humor (often at his own expense). He was very likable and had made many friends throughout the years. He was a good father and husband and a devoted grandfather. One of his favorite things to do was to go to Bishop's Brisket in Palestine, Texas on Friday's when they had an "open microphone" and sing on stage. On January 28, 2016, his wife, Dena preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael “Mike” Reily and one of his twin sons, James Reily.

Surviving members of Rick’s family include his son (and James’ twin brother) Matthew Reily and wife, Cami, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his son, Luke Reily, of Oakwood, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Reily of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Judy Clark and husband, Donald, of Houston, Texas and four grandchildren, Christian, Alice, Madison and Emily.

A memorial funeral service for Rick is scheduled for 2 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
