Funeral services for Nina Parker, 90, will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Burial will follow in the Greer Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place from 10 A.M. until service time, Friday, at the funeral home.

Nina Elizabeth Parker was born October 2, 1927, in Madison County, Texas to Levi & Millie (Powell) Tullos. She grew up in Madison County and worked along side her husband, Ira, at their family farm. Nina enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles and keeping up with the weather and news on television. She also enjoyed watching “The Young and the Restless.” Nina was Baptist in faith and had lived in Madison County most of her life. She passed away February 12, 2018, in Madisonville, Texas. Nina was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Ira “Bo” Parker; son, Billy Don Parker; daughters, Joyce Ann Parker & Virgie Mae Adams and three sisters, Alma Bonds, Cleota DuBose and Alline Newton.

Surviving family members include daughter, Linda Miller & husband, Glenn, of Flynn; sister-in-law, Marie Ferguson of Leona; grandchildren, Beverly Yargo & husband, Matthew, of College Station, Karen Woodson of Mesquite, Debbi Adams of Killeen, Angela Adams of Fresno, CA, Sharon Miller of Bryan and Chris Miller & wife, Nanette, of Eunice, LA; thirteen great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren.
