Funeral services for Mrs. Nelva (Cole) Pratt, 93, will be held 2 P.M., Monday, June 21, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Dr. Paul Dorsey will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Ten Mile Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service Monday from 1 P.M. to service time at the funeral home.

Nelva Louise (Cole) Pratt was born into this earth, March 29, 1928 in Madison County, Texas to Jake Raymond & Lila Mae (Morgan) Cole. She cherished her remarkable family including her parents, brothers and sisters, as well as her adorable eleven nieces and nephews. They all stayed close throughout their lives. Nelva's family loved her completely and she loved each of them with all of her heart.

Nelva enjoyed walking with her friends at the North Zulch High School gym, dining at the Leona General Store and visiting with her nieces and nephews. She had lived in North Zulch for the past forty years, coming from Hearne. Nelva lived a wonderful life. She loved and had been loved and she cherished all of her friends.

Nelva passed away June 17, 2021 in Bryan, Texas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Clarence "Gene" Pratt; brothers, Manuel Cole, John Floyd Cole and Jack Leon Cole and sister, Mavis (Cole) Boswell.

Surviving family members include brother, Kenneth Ray Cole; sister, Gracie Cole Sanders; nieces, Nancy B. Nuche, Kathy Harmond, Karen Brecheen, Lisa Johnson, Wanda Pettijohn, Glenda Bayer and Kathy (Pratt) Dorsey and nephews, Ronnie Cole, Scott Cole, Brad Cole, David Cole and John Cole. Nelva is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews and extended family.
