Meyling Sarahi Reyes Gomez

Meyling Sarahi Reyes Gomez, a dear resident of the Madisonville community, age 38, has made her glorious entrance into eternity. Meyling was born in Honduras on January 13, 1987, to proud parents, Saul and Maria Reyes. She was set free from her earthly struggle on July 3, 2025.

Meyling will be fondly remembered by many as a very caring person who always sought to help others when she was able. The children she crossed paths with at school or elsewhere in town were very precious to her. She saw value in everyone and was generous with whatever she had. She would go out of her way to do for people and set a wonderful example of rare servitude. It was clear that Meyling was built for that purpose. Meyling was fun-loving and a joy to be around. She was quite the prankster and had a playful personality.

That said, Meyling also had the ability to say precisely what needed to be said, to whom it needed to be said, just the way it needed to be said, and she was not too concerned with what others thought of her. Although she had a knack for saying whatever was on her mind, this was always balanced perfectly with a loving essence that always prevailed. Meyling was thoughtful and considerate which fostered strong friendships with ease. Meyling was a fighter. She endured much hardship with wonderful grace in the last months of her life. Today, she is free.

Her greatest love was for her husband Chris and her children. Meyling absolutely adored her family and cherished every minute with them. Meyling was a true blessing for so many reasons and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Meyling is preceded by her grandparents, Jose Samuel Gomez and Virgina Funez.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Saul Reyes and Maria Isabel Gomez; husband, Chris Quiroz; children, Kaden and Abigail Quiroz; mother and father-in-law, Shauna and Hector Quiroz Sr.; mother-in-law, Diana Castaneda; brother, Yather Xavier Cantillano; sister, Yakzari Carolina Cantillano and numerous other extended family and loving friends.

A funeral service honoring the life of Meyling, officiated by pastor Jorge Garduño, will be held at 11 A.M. in the chapel of the Madisonville Funeral Home on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Visitation will take place one hour before the service beginning at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Meyling Sarahi Reyes Gómez, una querida residente de la comunidad de Madisonville, de 38 años de edad, ha hecho su gloriosa entrada a la eternidad. Meyling nació en Honduras el 13 de enero de 1987, de padres Saúl y María Reyes. Fue liberada de su lucha terrenal el 3 de julio de 2025.

Meyling será recordada con cariño por muchos como una persona muy bondadosa que siempre buscaba ayudar a los demás cuando podía. Los niños con los que se cruzaba en la escuela o en otros lugares de la ciudad eran muy valiosos para ella. Veía el valor en cada persona y era generosa con todo lo que tenía. Siempre se esforzaba por ayudar a los demás y dio un maravilloso ejemplo de servicio, algo poco común. Esta claro que Meyling fue hecha para ese propósito. Era alegre y fue un verdadero gozo estar cerca de ella. Tenía un gran sentido del humor y una personalidad juguetona.

Dicho esto, Meyling también tenía la habilidad de decir exactamente lo que necesitaba ser dicho, a quien debía ser dicho, y de la manera en que debía ser dicho, sin preocuparse por lo que otros pensaran de ella. Aunque decía lo que pensaba con franqueza, siempre lo equilibraba con un amor genuino que prevalecía. Meyling era atenta y considerada, lo que le permitía cultivar amistades fuertes con facilidad. Era una luchadora. Soportó muchas dificultades con una gracia admirable en los últimos meses de su vida. Hoy, es libre.

Su mayor amor era para su esposo Chris y sus hijos. Meyling adoraba profundamente a su familia y atesoraba cada minuto con ellos. Fue una verdadera bendición por muchas razones y será profundamente extrañada por todos los que la conocieron.

Meyling fue precedida en la muerte por sus abuelos, José Samuel Gómez y Virginia Fúnez.

Un servicio funerario en honor a la vida de Meyling, oficiado por el pastor Jorge Garduño, se llevará a cabo a las 11 A.M. en la capilla de Madisonville Funeral Home el sábado 12 de Julio de 2025. La visita tendrá lugar una hora antes del servicio, comenzando a las 10 A.M. El sepelio se realizará en el Cementerio Mt. Tabor.
