Mary "Jeanette" Davis

Mary "Jeanette" Davis, age 81, of North Zulch, Texas passed away June 28, 2023 at her home in North Zulch.

Jeanette was born October 14, 1941 in Austin, Texas to George Winston & Mary Alice (Thompson) Keeton. She and her late husband, Delbert, had lived in North Zulch since 1976, coming from Marlin, Texas. Jeanette was raised in the Methodist faith and was a member of the Methodist Church in Marlin. Upon moving to North Zulch, she attended Sand Prairie Baptist Church on occasion. In 1977, Jeanette became a Teacher's Aide for North Zulch ISD and remained there until her passing. She loved her school and co-workers and was very proud to be a North Zulch Bulldog.

Jeanette was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Delbert Davis (April 2023); grandson, Joshua Edward Davis and brothers, Arthur Ray & Jack Winston Keeton.

Surviving family members include son, James Edward Davis (Tina Bachman) of Bertram; daughter, Mary "Christine" Davis of Little Elm; brother, George Calvin Keeton of Lake Buchanan; grandchildren, Mary "Raichelle" Seefeldt (Cedric), Jessica Michelle Davis (Pat Magsig) and Rebecca Willeen Van Winkle (Jon) and great-grandchildren, Cleveland Armon Shinn, Mary Celeste Shinn and Cameron Joseph Shinn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation of family and friends will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.  A funeral service honoring Jeanette's life will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Glenn Connor will officiate the service. A private, family interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, Liberty Hill, Texas.
