Mary McGilbra, age 93, of Midway, passed away November 5, 2018 in Madisonville. Homegoing services will be held 1 P.M., Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville. Rev. Richard Washington, Jr. will officiate the service, and interment will be in South Side Cemetery in Midway.

Mary Ethel McGilbra was born January 19, 1925 in Midway to parents, Gilbert “Red” & Minnie (Robinson) Walker. She was a lifelong resident of Midway and had worked most of her life at the Corral Café in Madisonville. Mary was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ where she especially enjoyed singing. She also loved to read. Mary will be dearly missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mary was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Clyde McGilbra; children, Hazel Washington and Sonny McGilbra and siblings, Ruby Mae Spurlock, Lizzie Wiley, Ludie Walker, Lockie Mae Gifford, Estella Hall, Hazel Walker, Bud Walker, Jim Walker and Amos Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memories son, Billy Don McGilbra of Houston; daughters, Pauline Burns & Lillian McGilbra, both of Midway; brother, P.D. Walker of Amarillo and a host of grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
