Loraine Kuehn, 98, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on June 28, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on July 4, 1927, to Wiley Avery Dyer and Nona Dee Box in Corsicana, Texas.
In 1991, Loraine founded the Tri-County Diggers Garden Club, serving as President for many years. With her vibrant spirit, she traveled the world alongside fellow garden enthusiasts, exploring new cultures and drawing inspiration from the beauty she encountered. Loraine's dedication to making things look pretty extended beyond her garden; it framed her entire life, as she always adorned herself with vibrant outfits that reflected her personality, one that was strong, sweet, and compassionate.
Her faith was steadfast, and Loraine found great comfort and community at Bedias Baptist Church, where she was a cherished member. Her beloved great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved them unconditionally, nurturing them with her warmth and wisdom.
Loraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Grayson Kuehn; son, Walter Avery Kuehn; sisters, Marie Glass and Florence Dyer; grandson, BJ Kuehn; and many dear friends. She is survived by her granddaughters, Tracie Kuehn (Joseph Austin) and Casie Kuehn; and great-grandchildren, Anthony Roth, Avery Kuehn, Brian Tijernia, and Kayla Kuehn.
A funeral service for Loraine will be 7 P.M., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Nathan Hoke will officiate the service. Interment will follow at 12 Noon on Friday, July 3, 2026, in Perry Cemetery, Cypress, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until service time on Thursday.
