Linda Prescott Mosley

Linda Prescott Mosley, 75, of Madisonville, Texas passed away unexpectedly at her home in Madisonville, Texas on November 16, 2022.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of twenty-six years, Steve "Moe" Mosley; brother and sister, Scott and Rhonda Prescott; daughter, Tiffany Witherspoon; step-daughter, Tammy Maler; four grandchildren, Shea and Shane Witherspoon and Nathan and Slade Carey; two step-grandsons, Tim and Zach Mosley; two great-granddaughters, Carsyn Carey and Fynlee Witherspoon along with numerous nieces, nephews, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Lois Prescott; son, Klent Carey and stepson, Ronnie Mosley.

Linda was the first of three born to Melvin E. Prescott of Madisonville, Texas and Lois E. (Hamilton) Prescott of Pampa, Texas on November 7, 1947 in Houston, Texas. She attended Sam Houston High School where she was a member of the drill team and participated in the vocational program that prepared her for a career as a key punch operator. Later in her life she had a career in the construction industry which led her to an opportunity to accept an offer from TMPA's maintenance department apprentice program. Linda was one of the first people in the area to be certified as a valve specialist and first woman mechanic.

Linda retired from TMPA after fifteen years and was able to enjoy her grandbabies and great-grandbabies for the remainder of her life.

Linda was beautiful, strong, unique and without doubt, an unforgettable woman.

She had an animated way about her that was exciting and intoxicating. She faced each day with energy and determination to accomplish whatever task awaited her.

If you knew Linda, and she cared enough to keep you in her life, you were of the few, but you had a teammate that was unbeatable. Linda was a friend for life with an impact that was strong and unforgettable.

Linda loved the Lord and had a desire to learn more about Him. This desire led her to join a ladies' Bible study group at Rock Prairie Baptist Church where she developed a cherished relationship with the group that brought her much joy.

Linda's love for the Lord was strong and she never took his blessings for granted. She spent time with Him talking at the fishing pond. This was her special time in "her church," as she called it.

Peace was found there with Him one on one, and in the end, she was mercifully wrapped in His arms and peacefully lifted up.

A memorial service for Linda will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Rock Prairie Baptist Church, North Zulch, Texas. Bro. Olan Weaver will officiate the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
