Obituary

Lina Theiss, age 84, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019, in Bryan, Texas. She was born Lina Lida Minnie Frary January 19, 1935, in Wellsville, New York to parents, Charles Lynn & Lina (Byaum) Frary. Lina married Alton Theiss June 20, 1954, and was a homemaker most of her life.

Lina loved gardening, working in her flower beds, puzzle books and crocheting. She had lived in Normangee since 1984, and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in North Zulch. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Alton Theiss and two brothers, Donnie & Lynn Frary.

Surviving family members include sons, Earl Theiss (Peggy) of Kingsland, Robert Theiss (Linda) of Hilltop Lakes and Daryl Theiss (Brenda) of Normangee and daughter, Karen Holmes (C.W.) of Normangee. Lina is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren (one great-grandchild on the way) and six great, great-grandchildren.

The Theiss family will receive friends 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Madisonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place the following day at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in North Zulch at 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 13th. Rev. Randall Smith will officiate the service and interment will follow in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
