In loving memory of Kenneth Rex Smith, Jr, "Kenny," beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

Kenny passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the age of sixty-seven. We acknowledge and share the gift that Kenny's life brought to us, as well as the pain that his passing brings.

Kenny was born and raised in Texas and truly never wanted to live anywhere else. He spent the majority of his life in Houston, and most of his adult years working for AT&T. He loved to hunt and fish and when he retired, he moved away from the city to Bedias, Texas; where he could do both and remain close to family and friends.

While Kenny did not have any children of his own, he loved spending time with his siblings and all of their children and rarely missed a holiday or birthday celebration.

Kenny was married to the love of his life, Cindy, for over forty years; he recently lost her to cancer.

In addition to the passing of his wife, Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Erma Smith, and two of his siblings, Carolyn Grayson and Karen Anderson. He leaves behind a sister, Nita Horn; and a brother, Keith Smith; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. A celebration of life to honor Kenny is being planned for a later date.
