IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Rowland
Ellis Sr.
January 22, 1957 – March 18, 2026
Memorial Service
Madisonville Funeral Home
Starts at 1:00 pm (Central time)
Born on January 22, 1957, in Houston, Texas, to Albert and Shirley Ellis, Kenneth Ellis passed away on March 18, 2026, in Madisonville, Texas.
Kenneth had a deep love for the outdoors spending his time hunting, fishing, and caring for his Beefmaster cattle. Throughout his life, he was hardworking and took on many roles-working as a mechanic and an EMT, and spending decades as a master leather craftsman, as well as a proud member of the original Houston Leather Guild, owning his own leather shop in Old Town Spring. He also assisted his father in building their family home in Tomball. Kenneth was a dedicated father who actively participated in his sons' Cub Scout and Boy Scout activities, even making a memorable trip to Philmont with his middle son. He was also a fan of country music and often shared the story of Tanya Tucker taking his cowboy hat during a performance-a moment he treasured for years. After moving to Madisonville permanently, Kenneth became a member and enjoyed being a part of the local Rock Hound group. Above all, Kenneth will be remembered for the life he built and the family he loved.
Kenneth is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of fifty-one years, Heidi; their three sons, Kenneth Jr. "Kenny" (fiancée, Rebecca), Kristopher, and Keith (wife, Andrea); ten grandchildren, Caitlyn (husband, Jeffrey), Abby, Ava, Taylor (husband, Gavino), Audrey, Tripp, Kendall, Monique, Nikolas, and Jeremy; five great-grandchildren, Julianna, Raylen, Arabelle, Alex, and Stella; his sister, Kari Anderson; his mother-in-law, Dolly Brewer; and his sister-in-law, Sherri Nelson (husband, Jeramie). Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Shirley; his brother, Albert Jr.; his great-granddaughter, Melody; his brothers-in-law, Harry Brewer, Shannon Brewer, and Bob Anderson; and his sister-in-law, Tena Longan.
A memorial service for Kenneth will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Madisonville Funeral Home. Kris Kelso will officiate the service.
