Joyce Ann (Riadon) Coleman, 75, was ushered into the presence of the Almighty on December 12, 2025, in Bryan, Texas. Joyce was born to parents, Everette and Dorothy Riadon, and caught her first glimpse of the world on October 9, 1950, in Evansville, Indiana.
Joyce was a longtime faithful member of Rock Prairie Baptist Church in North Zulch, Texas. She was a committed follower of Jesus Christ, and this was evident through her life of service and sacrifice. She looked forward to every opportunity to be in the Lord’s house whether for worship services, bible studies or any other events that were going on. Joyce was always willing to help with whatever was needed and ministered where she could. She helped with vacation bible school and worked joyfully in other areas of the church.
Joyce enjoyed crafting with her friends and was passionate about southern gospel music. She also had an affinity for George Strait. Joyce will be fondly remembered as a joy to be around and a blessing to know. Her faith was substantial. She was an instrument of the Lord’s righteousness used by Him to reach into the lives of many.
Joyce was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Gene Frank Coleman; and son, Daniel Driver.
Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory are her three daughters, Beverly Barber (Jeff Guzman), Melinda Malek and Joanna Coleman; sister, Debbie; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Ashley, Autumn, Austin, Amber and Allisa; three great-grandchildren, Eli, LeAnn and Isabella, as well as numerous extended family and loving friends.
A funeral service for Joyce, officiated by pastor Olan Weaver, will be held at Rock Prairie Baptist Church on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 10 A.M., followed by burial in the Rock Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour before the service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be mailed in Joyce’s name to Rock Prairie Baptist Church. Mail donations to P.O. Box 353, North Zulch, Texas, 77872.
Final arrangements for Joyce Ann Coleman are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
