Joe Denman, age 89 of North Zulch, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018, in Bryan, Texas. Graveside services have been scheduled for 10 A.M., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Cross Cemetery in rural Grimes County. Rev. Mitchell Beene will officiate the service. A public visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Friday, February 9th at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.

Joe Hulen Denman was born July 8, 1928, in North Zulch, Texas. He was the last surviving child of Oscar Shannon & Ava (Baugh) Denman. He worked most of his life as a motor operator for Grimes County and Howard Construction. He also worked for the West Production Ranch. Joe enjoyed taking care of his cattle. He had lived most of his life in Grimes County and was Baptist in faith.

Joe was preceded in death by both of his parents; one brother and five sisters. Surviving relatives include son & daughter-in-law, Huey Lynn & Margaret Denman of North Zulch and grandson, Joseph “Drew” Denman & wife, Lena of North Zulch.
