JoAnn (Tanner) Overturf, age 83, passed away on July 1, 2023 in College Station, Texas. She was born on February 9, 1940 in Rayville, Louisiana to Benjamin Tracy and Eula (Morgan) Tanner. JoAnn was a member of Madisonville United Pentecostal Church for many years. She was most often described as being a caring, loving and sweet person. JoAnn enjoyed crocheting and spending time at the beach.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her both of her parents; husband, Charles Edward Overturf; sister, Gloria Sanders; and brother, Gary Tanner. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Mitchell (Bob) of Millbrae, California, Kandis Coleman of Huntsville, Texas, and John Overturf (Brenda) of Magnolia, Texas; brothers, Ray Tanner (Debbie), James Tanner, and Bill Tanner (Pat); grandchildren, Nathan, Blake, Candice, Courtney, Daniel, Brittini, Shelby, Joshua, Julia, and Jeremy; and great-grandchildren, Maddox, Kaiden, Brayden, Maveryk, Kimber, and Barrett.

A funeral service for JoAnn will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Rev. Don Grigsby will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Greenbriar Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas.
