Funeral services for Jewel Altimore, age 80, will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Interment will take place later that day at 2 P.M. at Rosewood Cemetery, Humble, Texas. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 9th from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jewel Altimore was born November 1, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Jackson Frank & Beatrice Roberts. She worked as a printer for Star Printing in Houston and enjoyed camping and going fishing with her husband. Jewel was also an excellent cook. She had lived in Midway since 1996 and was Pentecostal in faith. Jewel passed away September 6, 2020 in Madisonville, Texas.

Jewel was preceded in death by husband, Joe Wayne Altimore, Sr.; son, Joe Wayne Altimore, Jr.; daughter, Kathy Girard; brothers, R.J. & Billy Roberts and sister, Patricia Roberts. She is survived by sons, Mike Jordan & wife, Beth of Houston, Leon Roberts of Tennessee and Oren Altimore of Leona; brothers, Alvin Roberts of Centerville, Pearson Roberts of Cleveland and Larry Roberts of Livingston, as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
