Obituary

Jeanette Lee (Carson) Turner was born in Midway, Texas on April 10, 1935, to William and Alice (Wiley) Carson. Jeanette was the third of six children.

Jeanette obeyed the gospel of Christ at an early age and served God faithfully. As a life long member of Southside Church of Christ, her presence will be missed. She was hands-on with the activities and functions of the building, assisting with ladies, children's vacation bible studies, food prep and cleaning. She was a graduate of Albert V. Lee High School in Midway, Texas. Jeanette was employed as a seamstress and nurses assistant. She was married to the love of her life, Erwin James "ET" Turner, for forty-five years. To this union, six children were born, Edward, Melvin, Kenneth, William, Fredreck, and Brenda.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Turner; sons, Melvin, Kenneth, William, and Fredrick Turner; parents, William and Alice Carson; sisters, Anna Mae Carson, Pearlie Strange, and Jewel Carson; and brothers, William Carson and John Carson. Left to cherish her memories include son, Edward Turner (Zelda) of Missouri City, Texas; daughter, Brenda Ford (Melvin) of Midway, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Carson and Maxine Carson of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A homegoing service for Jeanette Turner will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Mack Bailey will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Southside Cemetery, Midway, Texas. A visitation will take place prior to the service Saturday from 9 A.M. to service time at the funeral home.
