Donald Eugene Helms, 90, of Madisonville, Texas passed away on March 28, 2025, in Madisonville, Texas. He was born to Albert & Ruth (Watson) Helms on August 13, 1934, in Edora, Arkansas.

Donald was preceded in death by his brothers, Amos D. Helms, James David Helms (Betty Joyce Helms), Henry L. Helms (Ruby Lee Helms), J.W. Helms (Bobbie Lee Helms), and C. M. Helms (Edith Helms); sisters, Inez Helms Ables (Archie E. Ables), Avis Joyner (Ben Joyner), and Dala Aubry Haley.

He is survived by a sister, Laurene Helms; son, Troy Len Helms; grandsons, Troy Garett Helms (Amber) and Dylan Kyle Istre (Corrie); great-grandchildren, Skylar Helms and Nola Istre; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of life for Donald will be 2 P.M., Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Plaster Residence, 253 Diserens Road, North Zulch, Texas 77872.
