Graveside services for David W. Whitten, age 66, will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Park Cemetery in Madisonville, Texas.

David passed away November 13, 2019, in Plano, Texas. He was born November 26, 1952 in Madisonville, Texas to Harold S. & Emily B. (Rhodes) Whitten. David was a 1971 graduate of Madisonville High School. He worked as a computer engineer for Shimadzu Medical Technology and enjoyed collecting guitars. David loved playing his guitars and also made guitars. He enjoyed playing in a band and operated a soundboard for several other bands. David had lived in Wylie for the past twenty years as of November 1, 2019.

David was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by sister, Cynthia Stevens and husband, Roy, of Madisonville and nieces, Candice Ann Nordyke and husband, Mike and Amanda I. Vance and husband, Clint.
