Cynthia Ann Green, 73, of Madisonville, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2026, in Madisonville, Texas. She was born on July 21, 1952, to Major Green and Lizzie (June) Green in Madisonville, Texas. Cynthia was a remarkable homemaker whose warmth and love knew no bounds. A true matriarch, she was known to walk a hundred miles for her daughter and grandchildren. She devoted her life to ensuring that her family felt cherished and supported, with love that radiated from her every action.

Cynthia was passionate about life's simple pleasures. She had an enduring love for baseball, particularly for her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves. Boxing brought her excitement, and she enjoyed fans' conversations around her favorite matches. In quieter moments, she found joy watching classic television shows like Little House on the Prairie, I Love Lucy, and Gunsmoke, often laughing and reminiscing about the joy they brought her. Music, too, was a significant part of her life, with the soulful sounds of R. Kelly echoing through her home, creating delightful memories for her family.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ruby Tyler and Vivian Hargrove. She is survived by her daughter, Keisa Green of Madisonville; grandchildren, Karl Wanza, Kiara Wanza, and Kardarius Wanza all of Madisonville; brother, Steven Green of Madisonville; sisters, Earnestine Tyler (Nathan) of Houston, Joyce Green of Houston, Linda Aaron of Huntsville, Alberta James of Conroe, and Major Marie Green of Hutto; special nephew, Damion Green (Monique) of Huntsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A homegoing service for Cynthia Ann Green will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. John Allen Rodgers and Minister Towanda Long Webber will officiate the service. Interment will follow in House Cemetery, Edge, Texas. A time of visitation and remembrance will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M, Friday, April 3, 2026, at Madisonville Funeral Home.
