Conrado Ruelas Garcia

September 20, 1976 — February 13, 2026

Iola, TX

Conrado Ruelas García, 49 years old, of Jalisco, Mexico, was received by our Lord in Heaven on February 13, 2026. Conrad was born to Angel Ruelas and Pompeya García on September 20, 1976. He graduated from Santa Monica High School and met his wife Luz Marina Ruelas in 2001, in Torrance CA.

Soon after they got married, he opened his landscaping business Ruelas Lawn Service. He then later moved to Texas in what he would always call the pursuit of the American dream.

From the moment he was born, he became a cowboy through and through. You could find him at any given moment baling hay, galloping through the fields, lassoing or simply ranching with his two favorite things: horses and roosters alongside his daughter. He always had an adventurous spirit and was a beacon of light to everyone who knew him.

He will be remembered best by the way he treated all those around him. All who knew him say he was the first to lend a helping hand to those trying to get back on their feet when they were down on their luck. He was a prime example of what it was to be a gentleman, an earnest hardworking man, seeking God always and ensuring that those around him felt comfortable, appreciated, and cared for. He was kind to everybody he met, and he truly never met a stranger.

The minute that Conrad shook a new hand, they were family. All of his family, blood or not, will remember the goofy grin that sparkled when he was teasing those he loved, the perseverance he faced every challenge with, and the love that he showed to others each and every day. Conris was truly a one-of-a-kind man, and the Ruelas family will certainly feel much smaller without him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Luz Ruelas; daughter Alejandra Ruelas, stepson Andres Moreno, stepdaughters Paola Moreno and Jeymi Moreno, step grandchildren Sofy, Cristo, Briana, and Xenia Moreno; his brothers and sisters and countless nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service honoring Conris, officiated by Ezequiel Barrientos, will be held in the chapel at the Madisonville Funeral Home on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 1 P.M. followed by burial in the Pankey Cemetery. Visitation will take place two hours before the service from 11 AM -1 PM.

Pallbearers will be Andres Moreno, Paola Moreno, Juan David Buritica, Diego Vargas, Brayden Killough, and Juan Pablo Tavares. Honorary Pallbearer will be Conris’ brother Julio Ruelas.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Conrad has been welcomed into eternal rest. God opened his arms to welcome a great man, father and husband into his Kingdom where there are no sorrows. His love and legacy will live on in all who were blessed to know him.

Final arrangements for Conrado Ruelas Garcia are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
