Clyde Morgan Honea, 79, was born in Madisonville, Texas on March 3, 1946, in Dr. McKay's office above the Burtis Drug Store to proud parents, Warren Franklin and Molly Kate (Seals) Honea. Clyde passed away in Bryan, Texas on July 1, 2025.
Clyde will be fondly remembered as an all-around wonderful guy who was hardworking and committed to his relationships with his many friends. He was always on the go when he was able and enjoyed working on his old John Deere tractor in his spare time. One of his favorite hobbies was bench rest shooting. If you needed to find Clyde, a good place to look was on the bank of a pond where he was eagerly casting a line and working a lure in front of a lunker bass. If you did not find him there, it was likely he would be sitting with his friends for coffee. Clyde will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
Clyde is preceded in death by both of his parents and half-sister, Annette Wells.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Paula (Gay) Honea; brother, Richard Honea (Evelyn); and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
Final arrangements for Clyde Honea are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville TX.
