Douglas Musgrove, age 82 of Madisonville, Texas, passed away March 14, 2018 in College Station, Texas. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 A.M., Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Cecil “Douglas” Musgrove was born December 17, 1935 in Houston, Texas to Cecil W. & Norma Lerah (McCaige) Musgrove. He grew up in the Hockley and Brookshire areas of Harris County but lived most of his life in Houston. Douglas worked for Piping Products, Inc. for twenty-four years and then for NOV Grant Prideco for twenty-one years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and trucks, and he could build anything he set his mind to build. He had even remodeled the inside of his home in Madison County before he moved into it.

Douglas loved watching football with his children. His favorite sports teams were the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, Texas A&M and any team playing against the Dallas Cowboys. He also liked watching NASCAR. Douglas had lived in Madisonville since 1978 and was Baptist in faith.

Douglas was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Betty Ruth Musgrove; son, Rick Musgrove and four infant brothers. Surviving relatives include sons, Douglas Randal (Margaret) Musgrove & Darrel Ray Musgrove and daughter, Debra Crouch, all of Madisonville and twelve grandchildren.
