Tommy J. Holiday

Homegoing services for Tommy Holiday, age 66, of Madisonville, Texas, will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville. Rev. James Holiday will officiate the service. Visitation will take place Friday, October 5th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Tommy J. Holiday was born February 8, 1952 in Madisonville, Texas to Tommie & Ola (Randle) Holiday. He was baptized at an early age. Tommy was a lifelong resident of Madisonville and a member of Wilson Chapel Methodist Church. Tommy graduated from Madisonville High School in 1971 and served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976. He married Carolyn Lewis in 1976, and to this union, two twin children, were born. Tommy worked as a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for twenty-five years, retiring from the trustee camp. He enjoyed playing dominoes, reading, and he loved sports. Tommy passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 in Madisonville, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and godson, Jeremy Merchant.

Those left to cherish his memories are wife, Carolyn Holiday of Madisonville; son, Tommy L. Holiday of Madisonville; daughter, Tamika Holiday of Madisonville; brother, James Elmer Holiday of Houston and grandchildren, Cameron and Chloe. Tommy is also survived by three nieces, one nephew, two great nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
