Raymond Charles Jensen

Funeral services for Raymond Charles Jensen, age 79, of Ft. Worth, and formerly of Bedias, will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Pastor Nathan Hoke, of Bedias Baptist Church in Bedias, will officiate the service, and interment will follow in the Bedias Baptist Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place from 9 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.



Raymond Charles Jensen was born on April 10, 1938 in Knoblick, Missouri. His parents were Jesse & Edith (Kinney) Jensen. He worked as a trucker for 30 plus years with numerous awards and recognitions received for his outstanding driving and service to his company. Raymond and his late wife, Patricia (Hogenmiller) Jensen, were married for sixty-one years. During that time they raised three daughters, as well as, two additional generations of children. Raymond was an active father, grandfather and great grandfather; always involved in his childrens activities, including volunteering as a softball coach for each of his daughters teams. Raymond and Patricia moved to Bedias from Houston in 1995 where they ran Mom and Dads Caf for a number of years. Together, they worked perfectly as a team where Raymond served as the designated errand runner and Mr. Fix-It to Patricia. They eventually moved to Ft. Worth when their health began to fail and enjoyed their final years spent with their children and extended family. Raymond was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Houston and attended Bedias Baptist Church while living in Bedias.



Raymond passed away suddenly on July 25, 2017 in a Ft. Worth, Texas hospital. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Patricia Jensen; daughter, Deborah Rust; brother, Donald Jensen and sisters, Leotta Foxx and Stella Lyons. Surviving family members include daughters, Sandra Clemons (husband, Robert) and Jeannette Tomlinson (husband, Eric) all of Ft. Worth; sister, Jean Kinneman; grandchildren, Patricia and Raymond Rust and great grandchildren, Caleb Honeycutt, Mariam Marie Zalmanek and Hannah Magdalina Zalmanek.
