Orlan Allen Weatherford

Orlan Allen Weatherford, 87, of Bryan, Texas passed away on October 22, 2021, in Bryan, Texas. Orlan was the oldest of four children born to R.W. Weatherford and Lavada (Rush) Weatherford on January 29, 1934, in North Zulch, Texas.

Orlan was a long-time resident of North Zulch before moving to Bryan. He graduated as the Valedictorian of North Zulch High School in 1952. Soon after graduation he met his loving wife, Mary Dell. He worked at the First National Bank in Bryan, Texas for many years. Orlan really enjoyed his job at the bank. He once said, “I love my job so much I would come work for free.” Between working at the bank and maintaining his land, Diamond W Ranch in North Zulch, he stayed busy. Orlan was a very simple, hardworking man that loved talking with people and reading his bible, his wisdom and intelligent skills stayed with him his entire life; he was a very blessed man. We will miss you, Grandpa!

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Dell (Nevill) Weatherford; daughter, Debbie Lindsey (Gary); son, Randy Weatherford; five grandchildren, Alicia Matheson (Wayne), Allen Lindsey (Lauren), Kendra Garcia (Joe), Kayla Weatherford (Gerald), and Kristan Weatherford (Jerry); seven great-grandchildren, Breanne, Madison, Regan, Addison, Riley, Chipper and Cori. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margret Ann (Weatherford) Bukowski; and brothers, Ronald Weatherford, and Jim Weatherford.

Services are under the care of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
