Mary Ellen Turner passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at her residence in Bryan, Texas. Mary was born on June 3, 1959 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Costa “Blackie” and Lola Mae Marta.

Mary worked and retired from Walmart and the State of Texas. Throughout her life she and her husband, Chuck, owned and operated several businesses. Having been blessed early in life, she met and married her soulmate for life, Charles “Chuck” Turner on November 18, 1960.

Mary enjoyed fishing with Chuck and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo and going to the casinos.

Mary is survived by her children, Larry Turner (Palestine), Tona Lumley (Tyler), and Kim Turner (Bryan); five grandchildren, Justin Turner (Sasebo, Japan), Kandice Holden (Katy), Coby Turner (Bryan), Ty Turner (Lewisville), Trey Turner (Amarillo); four great-grandchildren, Sophia Turner, Samuel Turner, Karter Holden and Kali Holden; two sisters, Lola Nevitt and Audrey Koska.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas, and funeral services will be at 1 P.M. at College Station City Cemetery, 2530 Texas Avenue South, College Station, Texas.
