Marla Melaine Vogt

Memorial services for Marla Vogt, 47, of Madisonville, will be held at 6 P.M., Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. A brief visitation will be held Friday from 5 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Marla Melaine Vogt was born on June 23, 1970 in Houston, Texas to Marlin & Sonja Gail (Marbut) Birdwell. She had been employed with Champion Technologies in Centerville. Marla had also worked in the central office of Madisonville High School and at TDCJ for nearly ten years at the BOT. She enjoyed gardening, working with her horses and especially adored her children. They were definitely one of the most important parts of Marla’s life and she would have done anything for them. Marla had lived in Madisonville since 1994 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

Marla passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her home. She was preceded in death by her mother. Her surviving family includes father, Marlin Birdwell (Debbie) of Huntsville; husband, David Vogt of Madisonville; son, Joshua Vogt (Jaycie) of Madisonville and daughter, Katelyn Vogt of Madisonville. Marla is also survived by brothers, Jaye Birdwell of Huntsville, Carey Birdwell of Magnolia and Barry Birdwell of Montgomery, sisters, Mandy Carrell of Huntsville and Dayna Lawson of Montgomery and mother-in-law, Linda Vogt of Madisonville.
