Lula Mae (Moore) Mcwhorter

Our dear, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went to be with our Lord and Savior.

Lula Mae McWhorter was born on September 4, 1928 and passed away on July 31, 2021 in her home with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Mabel Moore; the love of her life, T.W. McWhorter and her daughter, Linda Hentschel; also her two older sisters, Ethel Wallace and Joyce Goff.

She is survived by her younger sister, Jean Todd of Willis and her brother, Carl Moore, Jr. & wife, Trula of Mississippi. She is also survived by her daughter, Susan Edwards & husband, Barnie of Bandera; son-in-law, Frank Hentschel of Conroe; grandchildren, Michael and Karen Hentschel, Brian and Ashley Edwards and Tracy and Shawn Steingold as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lula was a beautiful lady inside and out. She loved the Lord and lived everyday as a perfect example of a Christian woman. She loved her family and loved watching the great-grandbabies when they came to visit.

Most of her life, Lula worked secretarial jobs. She worked for John Lathem Publication, April Sound and Conroe Independent School District.

The love of her life was T.W. McWhorter. They spent their lives loving each other and loved going on little vacation trips together. Lula was loved by everyone that knew her. We will miss her so much and she will be in our hearts forever.
