Lloyd Oliver Willis

Graveside services for Mr. Lloyd Willis, 87, of Kerrville, will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Jozye Cemetery, south of Madisonville. Bro. Glenn Connor will officiate the service.

Lloyd Oliver Willis was born October 14, 1933 in Mont Belvieu, Texas to Alexander & Lois (Allen) Willis. He served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper. Lloyd worked most of his life as an engineer and retired from McDermott. Lloyd’s work took him to various locations including Norway where he was able to travel across Europe. He enjoyed fishing and golf during his time off from work. Since they never had any children of their own, Lloyd and his wife of sixty-three years, Evelyn, appreciated the opportunity to host foreign exchange students from Norway and South America.

Lloyd passed away peacefully July 29, 2021 at his home in Kerrville. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Surviving family members include wife, Evelyn (Thompson) Willis; mother-in-law, Thelma Thompson; niece, Linda Estelle and several beloved cousins.

Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas is entrusted with final arrangements.
