Judith Ann Thompson

Graveside services for Judith Thompson, 79, of The Woodlands, will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Greenbriar Cemetery, Madison County, Texas. Bro. Glenn Connor, pastor of Elwood Baptist Church, will officiate the service. At the family’s request there will be no public visitation.

Judith Ann Thompson was born April 28, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona to Joe & Pauline Johnston and older brother, Russ. She was raised in Missouri before arriving in Conroe, Texas. When James and Judy met it was a blending of families with Judy and her daughter Teri, and James with his daughter Sherri and son Shannon. On 7-7-1977 it became official with a wedding in Maui. Judy had many interests over the years including billiards, cross word puzzles, Majun, and of course blackjack and baccara. She also loved sailing and traveling by motorhome and motorcycle with James. Judy was faithful and enjoyed sharing her passion with others from her church and bible studies at First Baptist Church in Dallas. Holidays were always special for her to get time with family and friends. And of course a good glass of wine. Her favorite thing to do throughout her life was traveling to see the wonders and cultures of the world. After arriving in Houston, she became the Secretary of the regional President of Continental Airlines. The perks enabled her and James to travel to 52+ locations around the world for amazing experiences including riding elephants in Nepal, tapas food in Barcelona, snow skiing in Whistler Canada, Colorado, and New Year's Eve Imperial Ball in Hofburg Palace, Vienna.

Judy is survived by her husband, James, daughters, Teri and Sherri and her son, Shannon. Judith passed away November 29, 2021 in The Woodlands, Texas following an extended illness.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
