Gregory Levi Wilson

Gregory Levi Wilson, 38, of Madisonville died Monday, March 18, 2019 in the Hospice Brazos Valley facility in Bryan, Texas. He was born February 9, 1981 in Pasadena, Texas. Greg accepted Christ into his heart at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville. He had attended Madisonville CISD and later attended North Zulch ISD from which he graduated high school. While in school, Greg was a member of the tennis team. Following graduation, he served his country for four years in the United States Air Force.

Greg loved playing video games and purchasing lottery tickets, always hoping to win big. He later revealed that he had really purchased the tickets to visit with the pretty girls that sold them. He was also especially fond of his dog. Greg’s one wish was to one day marry and start a family, but his health had prevented him from doing so. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who loved him.

Greg is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Billy R. & Virginia Lee (Cotham) Wilson; maternal grandparents, Eugene & Lucille McMurry and uncle, Randy McMurry. He is survived by his parents, Gary & Rowena Wilson of Madisonville, Texas and sisters, Alicia Kelly of Madisonville; nieces, Sarah & Stacy Kelly and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, March 22, 2019 at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Rev. Joshua Crutchfield will officiate the service. Graveside services will be held the following day at 2 P.M. at Randolph-Lindsey Cemetery in Randolph, Texas. The Wilson family will receive friends Thursday, March 21st from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
