Gene Frank Coleman, 75, passed away April 3, 2020 in Bryan, Texas. He was born December 11, 1944 in Evansville, Indiana to James Paul & Mildred (Frielinghausen) Coleman. Gene served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Following his retirement as an automobile mechanic, Gene moved to North Zulch where he enjoyed riding his tractor and woodworking.

Gene was a faithful member of Rock Prairie Baptist Church where he was active in VBS and served on numerous committees. He loved helping people and serving others through his church. Gene was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Gene was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by wife, Joyce Coleman of North Zulch; daughters, Beverly Coleman of Porter, Melinda Malek of Conroe and Joanna Coleman of College Station; brothers, Daniel Coleman and James Paul Coleman, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Ashley, Austin, Autumn, Amber and Allisa; great-grandson, Elijah and soon expected great-granddaughter, Leann.

Private graveside services for Gene will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Rock Prairie Cemetery near North Zulch. Pastor Olan Weaver will officiate the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
