Francisco De La Rosa

A funeral mass for Francisco De La Rosa, age 87, will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, October 31, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Madisonville, Texas. Fr. Guillermo Gabriel-Maisonet will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Bedias Baptist Cemetery in Bedias, Texas. A rosary will be held at Madisonville Funeral Home 6 P.M., Friday, October 30th followed by a public visitation until 8 P.M.

Francisco De la Rosa was born in Mexico October 4, 1933 to parents, Santos De la Rosa and Produnciana Martinez De la Rosa. He had lived in Bedias the past ten years and worked as a pipeliner in the oil and gas industry. Francisco enjoyed planting and building different kinds of structures and loved cooking tortillas and tamales. Francisco was a humorous man. He especially enjoyed riding his tractor with a pressed shirt. He loved when his family visited for bar-b-ques and always had a good time watching his grandchildren play.

Francisco passed away October 27, 2020 in College Station, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and son, Santos De la Rosa. His surviving family members include wife, Amelia C. De la Rosa Lequd; children, Juana Varela, Socorro Layva, Lucia Hernandez, Humberto Ramirez, Felipe Ramirez, Natividad Ramirez, Concepcion Ramirez, Guadalupe Martinez and Daniel De la Rosa, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.
