Elayne Andrews

Funeral services for Elayne Andrews, 94, will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at First United Methodist Church in Madisonville, Texas. Rev. Jim Jackson, pastor of the church, will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Madisonville Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Elayne Andrews was born December 16, 1925, in Ft. Worth, Texas to John W. & Jewel (Evans) Bergin. She spent her summers in Georgetown working for her grandfather who was the president of Southwestern College. Elayne was married seventy-two years to her late husband, E.B. “Bill” Andrews. She was the office manager at Madison County Livestock Commission and the owner of “The Madison,” an antiques shop located on the square. Elayne had lived in Madison County most of her life and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. Elayne and her daughter loved travelling together. She also loved redecorating her home while her husband was away on hunting trips.

Elayne passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 in Madisonville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Andrews and daughter, Suzanne Andrews Colwell. Surviving family members include granddaughter, Carroll Fox (Phillip) of Madisonville; grandson, Brad Bradbury (Denisa) of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Jordan Dartez, Halli Falke & Coleton Carswell and great, great-grandchildren, Cameron, Raymee, Elle, Slate, Rhett & Blake.
