David Lee Douglas was born September 16, 1949 in Merkel, Texas to Earnest Calvin & Dorothy (Henager) Douglas. He passed away April 4, 2020 at his home in North Zulch at 70 years of age.

David was preceded in death by both of his parents and two grandchildren, Christopher & Rachel Hold.

Surviving family members include wife, Paula Douglas of North Zulch; son, David Douglas & wife, Misti, of North Zulch; daughter, Amanda Hold of Rosenberg; sisters, Linda Sue Gibson of Ft. Worth, Elizabeth Hisey of Brookville, FL, Teracia Rice (Don) of Cleburne and Judy Guido (Jerry) of Meridianville, AL and grandchildren, Maci Mills, Katelynne Hold, Caleb Hold and Caden Hold.

David served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a yard supervisor in the oilfield. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and gardening. He had lived in North Zulch since 1984.

Memorial services for David will take place at 10 A.M., Saturday, June 6, 2020 at First Baptist Church in North Zulch, Texas. Bro. Brad Brock will officiate the service.

Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas was entrusted with final arrangements.
