Bobby G. Adams, age 87, of North Zulch, Texas passed away April 13, 2022 at his home in North Zulch. He was born to Cal Dodson “Dod” & Lila (Brooks) Adams May 26, 1934 in North Zulch, Texas. Bobby was raised for a brief time in North Zulch. When he was very young, his family moved to Aransas Pass, Texas where Bobby spent the remainder of his childhood throughout high school graduation. It was in Aransas Pass where Bobby made friendships that endured his entire life. Bobby then attended and graduated from the University of Texas and worked in retail management until his retirement twenty-five years ago. Bobby and his wife moved back to his home of North Zulch to live out their retired years.
For the last twenty-five years, Bobby enjoyed tending to his cattle and riding the tractor. He was most recently honored as an inductee to the Sons of the Texas Republic and was a tremendous supporter of the Veterans in his community, having served in the U.S. Army, himself. He was also a long-time member of Living Truth Church in Madisonville, Texas. Most of all, Bobby loved his family. He was an honorable husband, father and grandfather who lived with integrity and leaves behind a great legacy for generations to come.
Bobby was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, O.W. Adams; sisters, Mary Alice Long and Goldie Smith and grandson, Jay Burger.
Surviving family members include wife of sixty-one years, Marjorie Adams of North Zulch; children, Dodd (Tammy) Adams of Magnolia, Lisa (Mark) Melendez of Sugar Land, Trevor Adams of North Zulch, Elizabeth (James) Burger of Sugar Land and Penny (Rodney) Casida of North Zulch; grandchildren, Jonathan Adams, Ben Melendez, Karrah Penate, Jannah Little, Christopher Adams, Lauren Adams, William Adams, Emily Adams, Mehgan Burger, Matthew Burger, Nicholas Burger, Alexis Casida and Alyssa Casida, as well as eight great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
