James Clifford Brown

James Brown, age 46 of Porter, Texas passed away suddenly at his home on March 11, 2018. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 A.M., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Park Cemetery in Madisonville, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville.

Pallbearers: Alvin Steelman, David Steelman, Glenn Neal, Glen Brown, Jason Gibson, Israel Becke.

James Clifford Brown was born June 17, 1971 in Houston, Texas to Donald & Ima Ruth (Depue) Brown. He worked in the construction business on new builds and remodeling jobs. James also enjoyed “piddling” with various building projects at home and fishing, on occasion. He had lived in Porter for the past seven years and was Baptist in faith.

James was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Larry Brown and nephew, Brian Purselley. He is survived by brothers, Donald Wayne Brown of Huntsville, Melvin Lee Brown of Humble, Glen Brown of New Caney and David Brown of Arlington and sisters, Annette (David) Steelman of Springhill, LA, Debra (Alvin) Steelman of Huffman, Diane Primm of Eldorado, AR, Sharon Gibson of Houston and Donna (Glenn) Neal of Eldorado, AR. James is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
