Horace Lee Conger

Horace Conger, 84 years, of Madisonville, passed away April 1, 2018 at his home in Madisonville. A memorial service has been scheduled for 11 A.M., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Madisonville Funeral Home. Chris Kelso will officiate the service.

Horace Lee Conger was born September 2, 1933 in Stiles, Texas to Taylor Lee & Mary Alice (Delavon) Conger. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and graduated college with a degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University. Horace worked in oil fields all over the United States and many foreign countries. His past times included sports and feeding his birds, geese, ducks and white pelicans. Horace had lived in Madisonville since 2007 and was Baptist in faith.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; daughter, Donna and step-daughter, Marion Claudale Harris. Surviving relatives include wife, Alma Stone of Madisonville; step-sons, Clifford Ray & Charles Patrick Stone; daughters, Vicki Ann Conger of Brownwood, Fawn Renee Conger of Madisonville and Gail Brown of Lufkin and numerous grandchildren.

Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
